Buying Land for Preservation / Reforestation
Reforestation investments of US$50,000 or more qualify the investor for residency status and, subsequently, a Costa Rican passport. An investment of US$150,000 in any industry will award the same status. In both cases, the project must be approved by the Costa Rican government.
